Preserve is a Verb

A tedious step in preserving thousands of observations of nature, people, and places my grandparents made. The preservation of the static thing is but a trifle, of academic interest. Preservation is more valuable as a verb, bringing our memories forward to newer forms, to be be found again by generations hence.
